Tammy has been making art for as long as she can remember. He first immortalized piece was on the blank pages of her mother’s pregnancy book. A fine piece of work that she took to kindergarten for show and tell. The teacher found it difficult to get past the pregnancy stuff to truly appreciate the artwork, but that did not deter her. At the age of 11 her mother decided to focus Tammy’s creative juices and looked up “artist” in the Altoona yellow pages. The only listing was Michael’s Studio about six blocks away. Who knew? After her first lesson Tammy made her mother repeat Michael’s assessment twice. She had clearly heard him say “she has talent,” and enjoyed having it repeated. Since those humble beginnings she has explored oils, acrylics, water colors, pen and ink, charcoal…the list is long and growing.
